You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the HockeyStars application. Account deletion is an irreversible action.

⚠️ Warning: After deleting your account, all your data will be permanently deleted, including your profile, statistics, messages, photos, videos, and other data. Account recovery will not be possible.

Step-by-Step Account Deletion Instructions

Step 1: Open the HockeyStars application on your device.

Step 2: Log in to your account using your phone number and the verification code from SMS.

Step 3: Go to your profile by tapping the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.

Step 4: In the top right corner of the profile screen, tap the menu icon (three dots).

Step 5: In the menu that appears, select "Delete account".

Step 6: Confirm account deletion in the dialog box that appears. You will be shown a warning that this action is irreversible.

Step 7: After confirmation, your account and all associated data will be immediately deleted, and you will be automatically logged out of the application.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently deleted:

  • User profile (name, date of birth, country, position, grip)
  • Physical data (height, weight)
  • Player statistics (goals, assists, games)
  • All photos and videos uploaded by the user
  • Team information and achievements
  • All personal messages
  • Friend requests
  • Notifications
  • Items in the Gift Museum
  • Gift requests
  • Blocked users
  • Exercise statistics
  • Puck speed records
  • Phone number and associated authentication data

What Data May Be Retained

Some data may be retained in accordance with legal requirements or to ensure system security:

  • Security and audit logs (retention period: up to 1 year)
  • Anonymous statistical data for analytics (without personal information)

Data Deletion Timeframes

After confirming account deletion:

  • Immediate deletion: User profile, personal data, messages, photos, videos, and other user data are deleted immediately after confirmation.
  • Within 30 days: All backup copies of data will be deleted from backup systems.
  • Up to 1 year: Security logs may be retained for up to 1 year in accordance with security requirements.

Alternative Methods for Account Deletion

If you experience problems deleting your account through the application, you can contact support:

  • Through the app: Settings section → Support

When contacting support, please provide the phone number associated with your account for identification and confirmation of the deletion request.

Deletion of Minor Accounts

For users under 13 years of age, account deletion may require confirmation from a parent or legal guardian. In this case, please contact support from the email address that was used to provide parental consent.
