This Privacy Policy describes how Andrey Merkulov, the owner of the HockeyStars mobile application ("App"), ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
1. Information Collection
1.1. Personal Data
When registering and using the App, we collect the following information:
- Username and email address
- Profile information (name, date of birth, country, position, grip)
- Physical data (height, weight)
- Player statistics (goals, assists, games)
- Photos and videos uploaded by the user
- Team information and achievements
1.2. Photo Library Access
The App requests access to your device's photo library for the following purposes:
- Profile Photos: To allow you to select and upload a photo from your library to set as your profile picture
- Team Photos: To upload photos related to your teams
- Achievement Photos: To add photos to your achievements gallery
- Saving Photos: To save achievement photos or team photos to your device's photo library
We only access photos that you explicitly select. We do not access your entire photo library without your permission.
1.3. Technical Data
We automatically collect technical information about your device:
- Device type and operating system
- Unique device identifier
- Application version information
- App usage data
2. Information Usage
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving App functionality
- Creating and managing your profile
- Ensuring communication between users (messages, notifications)
- Sending push notifications about important events
- Ensuring security and preventing fraud
- Analyzing app usage to improve the service
3. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. To ensure the App's operation, we use the following third-party services that act as processors of your data:
- Supabase - used for cloud database and user authentication. Data is stored on secure servers. You can review Supabase's privacy policy here.
- Expo - used as a platform for app development and deployment. Expo may collect anonymous technical data for stability analysis.
- Apple App Store / Google Play - these platforms process data related to app purchase and download, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. These include data encryption during transmission (SSL/TLS protocol), secure data storage on protected servers, and strict access control to personal data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
5. User Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Right to withdraw consent for data processing
- Right to restrict data processing
5.1. Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account at any time. To delete your account:
- Open your profile in the App
- Tap the three-dot menu (top right)
- Select "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion after reading the warning message
Important: When you delete your account, all your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. This includes:
- Your user profile and all profile information
- All messages you sent or received
- Friend requests and friendships
- All notifications
- Photos and videos you uploaded
- Exercise statistics and achievements
- All other data associated with your account
This action cannot be undone. After deletion, you will be automatically logged out and will need to create a new account if you wish to use the App again.

6. Children's Protection (Policy Regarding Minors)
Our App is intended for users of all ages, including children. We give top priority to protecting their privacy.
- Parents or legal representatives are responsible for controlling their children's use of the App
- We do not intentionally collect personal data from children without legally required parental consent
- If we learn that we have collected data from a child without consent, we will immediately delete this information
- Parents have the right to request access to their child's data, require their correction or complete deletion
- We do not sell or transfer children's data to third parties for marketing purposes
To exercise these rights, parents can contact our support service at support@hockey-stars.com from the email address that was used to provide consent.
6.1. Parental Consent for Children Under 13
For registration of users under 13 years of age, we require verified parental consent:
- Parental consent is obtained only via email (not through a simple checkbox)
- We send detailed information about the data collected and our privacy policies
- The parent must confirm consent through a special link in the email
- Without verified parental consent, child registration is not possible
- Parents can revoke consent at any time
7. Content Moderation and User Safety
We strive to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all users. To achieve this, we implement moderation systems and provide users with protection tools:
7.1. Content Moderation
We apply a content moderation system that includes both automatic filters and manual review:
- Published content (profiles, photos, videos) may be checked for compliance with our community rules
- Accounts violating rules, including those engaged in bullying, distributing prohibited content, or other destructive actions, may be blocked
- We strive to respond promptly to user complaints and violations
7.2. Reporting System
Users can report violations through the built-in reporting system:
- Ability to report any user from their profile
- All reports are sent directly to the app administrator
- Reports are processed as quickly as possible
- The complainant's anonymity is guaranteed
- The complainant is informed of the complaint review results
7.3. User Blocking Features
Users have the ability to block other users themselves:
- The blocked user will not be able to view your profile
- The blocked user will not be able to send you messages
- The blocked user will not receive notification that they have been blocked
- You can unblock a user at any time
- Blocking does not affect the ability to send complaints to the administrator
8. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes are made means your acceptance of the updated policy.
